Wurdi Baierr Stadium offers a wide variety of sport and fitness activities throughout the venue. Nicholson Construction were proud to have been a part of the construction of Torquay’s newest indoor sports stadium through 2020.
Construction entailed an extension to the existing building to create additional sports courts and facilities for the growing community and nearby schools, including alterations of the existing Surf Coast Secondary Basketball Stadium.
The two-court building was extended to include four indoor sports courts suitable for basketball and netball among other sports. Also included were multi-use spaces, large foyer and reception area, cafeteria and shop front, changerooms and amenities, office spaces and storage. Carparking, footpaths and bike storage completed the works.
