An exciting addition to the St Francis Catholic College Melton campus, the new double-storey Junior Hub Building comprises specialist learning spaces and classrooms, a makerspace, amenities, and an external alfresco balcony area.
Level 1 provides general-purpose learning, food and materials technology areas for Year 7 and 8 students, with Level 2 including spaces for Art, Visual Communication Design, robotics, STEM and general project-based learning.
As part of the works an existing masonry brick wall that features a mural of the College’s original motto was protected and incorporated into the new Junior Hub Building.
The project benefited from several value for money alternatives throughout the delivery, the Hub handed over in late 2024, ensured the College could plan and utilise this amazing new facility for commencement of term 1 in 2025.
It was an honour to continue our partnership with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools to deliver this fantastic building for the growing St Francis Melton community, and for students to learn in an environment designed for delivering modern education.
