The Grampians PARC project recently completed by Nicholson Construction is a true asset to the Ballarat community, and the Ballarat Health Services. A prevention and recovery care facility to assist those with mental health issues to transition from hospital or avoid admission completely.

The facility is located on Pleasant Street South Ballarat and was a two stage redevelopment of the Ballarat Health Services site.

The first stage of the project involved providing critical infrastructure, road access and fire services to allow the existing facilities on site to continue functioning during the construction of the PARC.

The second stage involved the construction of a 12 bedroom prevention and recovery care residential mental health service for Ballarat Health Services, with ensuites, lounge areas, meeting rooms, communal kitchen and dining area, laundry, court yard area, and external landscaping.

Two historic buildings have been partially retained and refurbished as part of this project. This included removing a brick wall to reinforce the structure and brick the wall back up with the heritage bricks.
