A contemporary three storey building, designed to support and enhance the learning needs of Damascus College senior students, the Xavier Flood Senior Learning Centre was completed in early 2025.
It was an honour to again partner with Damascus College, following our previous project to deliver their iconic, cantilevered administration building and library.
With 23 well-appointed classrooms, student services, staff offices, open independent learning areas, gathering spaces, and modern catering amenities to cater for the needs of students and staff, the Xavier Flood Senior Learning Centre is an impressive addition to the college.
The precinct houses VCE students, with the design intending to replicate the look and feel of a tertiary education environment, finished in a warm selection of eco-friendly materials and internal wood cladding.
The inclusion of an operable glass wall to the lower level, provides an indoor-outdoor space for students, and creates a natural amphitheatre, increasing outdoor engagement opportunities for the College.
An impressive structure delivered in a live educational environment, on a geographically challenging site, the standard and quality delivery of the new Damascus College Senior Learning Precinct is the standard all education providers can expect from the Nicholson Construction team.
