Nicholson Construction partnered with Anam Cara House Geelong and Tectura Architects to deliver this world leading end-of-life-care facility.
Through extensive engagement with; the Anam Cara board, volunteers and Tectura Architects we formed a genuine connection to the importance of this facility and the depth of community support behind it.
The delivery of this project required careful consideration and collaboration to ensure a class 9a building could be delivered whilst maintaining a warm home-like feeling. Hospital level services were integrated into joinery within each bedroom to allow guests to feel at home rather than in a clinical setting.
An appreciation and understanding of the Cultural Heritage Management Plan saw our team work closely with the project consultants to ensure a zero cut and fill exercise.
Our partnership with Anam Cara House Geelong continues well past the delivery of this project.
